'Geisha' Special Edition Notebook and Slipcase Set

A really vibrant, eye-catching Japanese themed set consisting of our ‘Geisha’ Special Edition Notebook with its matching slipcase. Lynn originally created ‘Geisha’ using a 3D sculptural paper relief technique; the evocative portrait was gradually built up using layers of textured paper and coloured tissue, cut into shapes, and applied to a background.

Our print version now features on this notebook cover in a square window protected by an acrylic cover held in place with copper or brass rivets. We then add an exquisite Chiyogami paper called ‘White Jazz,’ made in Japan and screen printed by hand, across the back and front of the cover to complement our ‘Geisha’ design.

This delightful little notebook contains 168 lined pages in total, with co-ordinating endpapers, a multi-coloured, hand dyed page marker ribbon (so you’ll never lose your place!) and smart headbands which all complete this beautifully handmade book.

We continue this dramatic colour combination of bright red with the highly decorative Chiyogami papers used in our ‘Geisha’ notebook for the design of its matching slipcase - both for the lining inside and the cover outside! A perfect fit to hold and protect the book whilst being able to view the ‘Geisha’ motif through the carefully aligned slipcase window aperture.
